Building and grounds maintenance, repairs and the routine upkeep that comes with a house no longer need to be part of the weekly to-do list. Three daily meals mean less planning, shopping and cooking, while weekly housekeeping reduces more of the routine work at home.

That leaves more time and energy for the people, routines and interests that matter — whether that means joining neighbours for a meal or activity, spending time outdoors, visiting family or simply enjoying the privacy of your own suite.

Residents continue to make their own decisions, follow their own routines and choose how they spend their days.

Independent Living at Bellevue Park includes practical services designed to reduce routine household responsibilities while residents continue to live independently.

Designed Around Three Daily Meals

Three meals are included every day as part of Independent Living at Bellevue Park, reducing the work of meal planning, grocery shopping and cooking.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served during scheduled dining windows with open seating, so residents can come and go within the meal period.

Suites include a kitchenette for light food and beverage preparation. They do not include a cooktop, oven or supplied appliances.

Vegetarian meals can be accommodated. More complex dietary requirements should be discussed directly with the Bellevue Park team to confirm whether they can be supported.

Weekly light housekeeping is included, helping reduce the regular work of keeping a home clean and comfortable.

Bellevue Park also takes care of building and grounds maintenance and provides support for Bellevue-supplied equipment, including items such as lightbulbs, fire and oxygen-sensor batteries, washer and dryer issues, televisions, refrigerators, showers and water temperature.

Residents manage their own personal laundry using the washer and dryer in their suite, with larger shared machines available for bulky items such as blankets and duvets.

Independent Living at Bellevue Park offers shared spaces, activities and recreation for residents who want connection — without making participation part of the expectation.

Residents can meet neighbours over a meal, join an activity, use the fitness and wellness spaces, spend time outdoors or simply enjoy the privacy of their own suite.

What Does “Thoughtfully Supported” Mean?

It means making everyday life easier without unnecessarily taking over the things residents want to continue doing for themselves.

Bellevue Park provides the residential services that reduce day-to-day burdens — meals, weekly housekeeping, maintenance, activities, connectivity and familiar staff nearby — while residents continue to make their own decisions, maintain their privacy and shape their own routines.

Residents must be independent when they move into Bellevue Park Independent Living.

If a resident’s needs change over time, Bellevue Park reviews those needs with the resident and family. Limited additional support may sometimes be available for an extra fee, and outside care may in some circumstances be used to help bridge changing needs.

Independent Living is separate from Bellevue Park’s Long-Term Care service. There is no guaranteed or priority transfer from Independent Living into Long-Term Care.

Pets Are Welcome

We know pets are part of home. Bellevue Park is pet-friendly, so residents can continue enjoying the companionship of a pet in their new home.

Residents may have one cat or dog, subject to current pet guidelines. Dogs must be 40 pounds or less, current vaccinations are required and a pet deposit applies.

Direct access to Aldergrove Rotary Park and its walking paths can make the setting especially convenient for residents with dogs.

Staff On Site 24 Hours a Day

Bellevue Park staff are on site 24 hours a day.

Independent Living residents also receive an emergency alert pendant as part of their monthly rent. If a resident activates the pendant in an emergency, staff can respond and assist with contacting 911.

Independent Living does not include 24-hour clinical care, and staff do not replace emergency medical services.

  • No. Bellevue Park Independent Living is a residential Independent Living model. Residents must be independent at admission, and full personal care is not included in the standard monthly fee.

  • Yes. Three meals are included every day, seven days a week.

  • No. Suites have kitchenettes for light food and beverage preparation and do not include a cooktop, oven or supplied appliances.

  • No. Full personal care is not part of the standard Independent Living service. If a resident’s needs change after moving in, Bellevue Park reviews those needs and may be able to provide or coordinate limited additional support.

  • Long-Term Care is a separate Bellevue Park service. Independent Living residents do not have guaranteed or priority admission into Long-Term Care. If a resident’s needs change, the Bellevue Park team will support the resident and family in understanding available options and identifying appropriate next steps.
